Position Overview
The Home Safety & Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in delivering aging-in-place services and preventive home maintenance for our clients. This position combines light handyman work with direct client interaction, requiring both technical skill and a caring, respectful approach—particularly when working with seniors.
This is a full-time W-2 role serving clients throughout the Tampa Bay area.
What You’ll Do
Home Safety & Aging-in-Place Services
- Conduct complete home safety and maintenance assessments using assessment tools provided
- Install permanent railings, grab bars, shower benches, handheld shower systems and comfort-height toilets
- Replace door knobs and faucets with lever handles
- Create no-step entries or safer transitions where appropriate
- Lower or relocate high-reach household items
- Install motion-sensor lighting
- Remove or secure throw rugs and install anti-slip mats
- Inspect pathways and eliminate trip hazards
- Test smoke detectors, CO detectors, fire extinguishers, and medical alert devices
- Perform emergency preparedness checks and stair safety tune-ups
- Conduct GFCI and outlet safety checks
Preventive Maintenance & Seasonal Services
- Replace HVAC air filters; clean AC drain lines and coils
- Flush water heaters and set temperature to 120°F
- Inspect under sinks and toilets for leaks
- Inspect for mold, mildew and roof damage
- Clean dryer vents, gutters, and downspouts
- Inspect and repair window screens, caulking, and weatherstripping
- Perform window cleaning and pressure washing
- Complete storm-ready exterior prep and seasonal home monitoring
General Home Services
- Miscellaneous handyman tasks within scope
- “Chore” services and on-call handyman support
- Coordination with professional services when required
Client Care & Communication
- Communicate clearly, patiently, and respectfully with seniors and their families
- Explain services and findings in easy-to-understand language
- Maintain a calm, supportive presence in homes where clients may be healing or aging in place
- Represent Forever Home Keepers’ mission, values, and service standards at all times
Schedule & Location
- Full-time, W-2 position
- Primary schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Optional weekend opportunities available
- Service area: Tampa Bay region
- Reliable local transportation required
Compensation & Benefits

Qualifications
Required
- Experience with light handyman work or residential maintenance
- Comfort working in clients’ homes, particularly with seniors
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks
Preferred
- Experience working with seniors or aging-in-place services
- Familiarity with home safety modifications
- Basic HVAC, plumbing fixture, or residential systems knowledge

Position Overview
The Client Engagement Specialist is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of inbound client inquiries and supporting targeted outbound referral development efforts. This role serves as the first human connection for prospective clients and referral partners—qualifying needs, documenting key details, and converting high-quality leads into scheduled in-home appointments.
This is a full-time, W-2, remote role supporting the Tampa Bay area.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Lead Handling & Appointment Conversion
- Field all inbound calls generated from referral partners and direct-to-consumer marketing
- Qualify incoming leads using established criteria
- Collect, document, and maintain accurate client information in CRM
- Convert qualified leads into scheduled in-home appointments
- Manage appointment calendars and coordinate with field technicians via Field management software
- Conduct day-before appointment reminder calls
Reschedule appointments as needed to minimize cancellations
Outbound Referral & Funnel-Building Activities
During periods of lower inbound call volume, this role supports targeted outbound efforts, including:
- Outbound calls to referral partners to introduce Forever Home Keepers
- Offering to send or drop off materials or schedule in-person meetings with the founder
- Connecting with referral partners on LinkedIn.
- Responding to social media inquiries and direct messages.
- Preparing and issuing direct-to-consumer mailings to targeted local lists
Performance Metrics
Success in this role is measured using clear, objective metrics, including:
- Calls handled
- Average handle time
- CRM documentation accuracy and completeness
- Lead-to-appointment conversion rate
- Appointment success rate (show rate vs cancellations)
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time, W-2 employee
- Remote role (Tampa Bay area)
- Core hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- No evening or weekend coverage at this time
- Google Workspace, Google Voice (VoIP), HighLevel CRM, and Jobber provided
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $24/hour, commensurate with experience.
- Monthly individual performance bonus tied primarily to conversion metrics

Forever Home Keepers is launching a Summer Internship Program in the Tampa Bay area designed for high school juniors and seniors and vocational school students interested in building skills in the trades and home services industry.
Interns will gain hands-on exposure to how a growing service company operates—from marketing and client engagement to scheduling, service delivery, billing, and finance—while working alongside experienced professionals who do real work that matters.
